The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
When we read this verse it starts out as bad news but if we continue to read we reach the "Good News." Jesus say’s He has come that we might have life, but not only that but we might have life more abundantly! That’s “Good News.” Many people live their lives always looking at the bad news, but if we turn that bad news coin over we will find the "Good News." Which side of the coin are you looking at? If you live your life with a defeated attitude you will live a defeated life. But if you live your life expecting to receive good things from God you will receive all the blessings that God wants to give you. I know this is hard for some people to imagine, but you must come to the realization that God is so much bigger than anything you will ever face. We are children of the most high God, we are blessed and highly favored, we have royalty in our DNA we are children of the King. So why would you not live your life expecting Him to give you victory? God intends for you to be a champion, not a defeated person. If you claim victory and expect victory, you will get it along with a greater sense of power and peace! God wants you to live abundantly, so learn to expect His abundance.
Every time Satan throws a stumbling block at you just ask the Lord to turn it into a stepping stone. God wants to raise us up higher than we ever thought possible and He will use every stumbling block that is thrown at us as stepping stones, if we stay in faith and allow Him to work in our life.
No matter what has been taken away from you, no matter what you’ve lost or experienced in the past, if you give it over to God, He will return to you more than you could ask or imagine. He’ll make things right and give you more than what was lost or stolen. God wants to multiply your joy, peace, wisdom, health, finances. I'm praying for a double portion of His favor in every area of your life! The first step in moving forward into this fresh future is forgetting the disappointments of yesterday. It’s time shake it off, to turn loose those disappointments of your past and reach out in faith to God’s abundant future. No matter how painful the blows or distressing the situation may seem if we shake it off and put it under our feet we can use the adversities of life to raise us up to new levels. What seems like is going to bury us many times God uses to bless us. Stay positive and remember Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
Take the 30 day challenge, and for the next 30 days wake up in the morning saying “I am blessed and highly favored” and every time someone ask you how you’re doing? Just say, “I’m Blessed and Highly Favored” no matter what kind of day you’ re having. You will find out that you truly are Blessed & Highly Favored!(Checkmate) Jump Start Your Week

Luke 23: 39-43 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Here is a story I heard once and you can find this story on the internet, I published this in one of our Newsletters last year.
Long time ago there was a man traveling across country and he stopped in a small diner for lunch. He walked in the diner and sat down and ordered his lunch. As he sat there waiting, a picture across the room caught his eye. You see this man was the chess champion of the world and was on his way to defend his title in the city. The painting was of the devil and a young man setting at a table playing chess. The devil had a gleeful look of victory on his face and the young man had a dreadful look of terror. Sweat rolling off his face and tears in his eyes. The painting was of a chess game and the caption read Checkmate. The chess champion stood there studying the chess board. 15 minutes passed then 30 minutes and then 1 hour had passed. Everybody was watching and wondering what was going on when suddenly the chess champion started yelling at the painting! Don’t give up! Don’t give up! There’s one more move! There’s one more move! Victory is yours, you’re just one move away from victory young man, don’t give up! The chess champion had found that there was one more move and many people out there right now feel like there is no hope, but there is one more move! Just like the thief on the cross Jesus is waiting for us to make a move toward him and then He will rescue us out of whatever dilemma we find ourselves in. As we read the scripture we have to decide which side of the cross are we on?

2 Chronicles 1:7 On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?”
I recently got a letter here at Rig Ministries that really blessed me and has me seeking God’s blessings even more. It was a very encouraging letter and she ended the letter with this P.S. What do You Need? God told me to ask you that as I was about to fold this letter up. What Do You Need?
That question got my mind spinning, What do I need? I read the letter again and when I got to the P.S. What Do You Need? Then “God told me to ask” you just seemed to leap off the page! “God told me to ask you” that made me think of 2nd Chronicles chapter 1 where God appeared to Solomon and ask “what shall I give you.” As I read this verse my mind went back to a time when I was a brand new Christian sitting in a circle of men in my pastor’s house. I had been praying for four things since I had been saved, Wisdom, knowledge, strength and courage. As I was sitting in this circle I remember thinking God you’re not answering my prayer! That’s when God spoke to my heart and said “Son your prayers are being answered, but my ways are not your ways! Look around you and you will see.” As I looked around the circle I saw Verl the wisdom of the Church. I remember every time there was a decision to be made in the Church all eyes would turn to Verl to see what he was going to say. I remember how Verl had took on the task as mentor to me. I remember a time I wanted to witness to someone and calling Verl for counsel. Verl always new the right answer and had a way of making you think you helped him find the answer. Then I saw Gene. Gene was not only my Sunday school teacher but he had been one of teachers in high school. He had spent his whole life learning just so he could teach others! A true servants heart! Also in the circle was my pastor Russ the true strength of the Church. There was nothing Russ wouldn’t do for his congregation. It was Russ that had come to my house and read a tract to me the night before I got saved driving down the highway Aug, 13th 1995. Whatever was done in the Church Russ was right there not only pulling his weight but also carrying everyone else right along with him. Then there was Raymond one of the most courageous men I have ever known. Raymond would stand up each Sunday morning with tears streaming down his face giving testimony of Jesus Christ saving grace. Raymond was not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and he was always ready to go and witness to the lost. I remember God speaking to my heart and telling me, “son I am answering your prayer but I’m giving it to you a little at a time. If I gave you all that I have for you all at once it would overwhelm you.”
So Lord to answer your question, What do I need? Lord I pray for more wisdom, knowledge, strength and courage to continue on in this ministry that you have called me into. Lord help me to help others find a closer relationship with You! God has blessing for each one of us that is more than we could ever dream or imagine. And God is just waiting for us to ask with a sincere and contrite heart. So friends, let me ask you What Do You Need?
